With release 6.10, available in July 2008, iTAC considerably expands the established functional
portfolio of its iTAC.MES.Suite delivering integrated production, machine and
quality data collection and analysis.
All enhancements
to the iTAC.MES.Suite are based on a continuous ongoing dialog with customers,
partners and industry bodies. "It is this close dialog with our customers
with regard to operative and strategic market requirements that is significant
for the further development of iTAC.MES.Suite," emphasized Martin Heinz,
Vice President Product Management of iTAC Software AG. "The integration
and application of MES systems is more than just a pure software project;
rather, it affects many areas of functionality within an enterprise. This, in
particular, opens numerous potentials that can only be transformed into
competitive advantages with a modern MES system."
The most
important new features at a glance
A web-based configuration management system for the
global administration and configuration of the decentral and plant-level
iTAC.MES.Suite integration components and client applications.
Archiving
service for backing up
and analyzing data repositories for which documentation must be maintained such
as unit IDs (as well as device history records), lot information, process data,
measurement data and others.
Plant
integration service for
minimizing integration costs and for reducing functional complexity within the
plant through central mapping of function processes within iTAC.MES.Suite.
Expanded functionality in production and order management for the centralized control of
production sites and production units.
Redesigned functionality in quality data analysis and management
with respect to the evaluation of quality data, measurement data, error
data as well as the statistical examination of this data and analysis
functions
that use the drill-down method.
New and expanded collection
of machine and process data (MDC/PDC) and the evaluation of this data on
the basis of established industry standards. The collection, evaluation and
representation of performance indicators as well as the analysis of e.g.
downtime, are reflected in the various KPIs which can be used for integrated
optimization of production (e.g. through evaluation of OEE) and thereby provide
additional data for the TPM process of the enterprise.
Online
Process Monitoring (OPM-MD) with respect
to the quality of process tests on the basis of variable measurement data
curves. This functionality enables the early detection of process problems as
they form and thus serves as an early-warning mechanism for ensuring production
quality and is the basis for continuous process improvement.
Implementation of Web 2.0 technologies such as RSS feeds for global and user-oriented
production controlling and production monitoring within commercial software
products such as MS-Outlook, Lotus Notes and others.
In several other iTAC.MES.Suite modules and services,
there are additional new features that leverage the solution through an expansion
of existing functionality. ..
With this release, iTAC Software AG continues to
meet the comprehensive demands of while at the same time further strengthening
the company's outstanding market position in the area of standard production software.
